into the memory lane

every race gives a different experience, different memory.
Likewise for this marathon.
It was an unexpected victory and a very satisfying race.
All we wanted was to complete the 27Km, giving our best and not expecting much (although somehow i still secretly hope for something).
6 rounds and 5 portages around marina reservoir isn't easy especially when it's racing against people/time/water current/fatigue/sun/etc.
We still made it through, full of satisfaction (:
But it sure came with sacrifices.. Abrasions are horrendous and shoulder is quite badly bruised from the portage. And there's one thing I am very very proud of! We did not take a drop of water during race!! Born Camels la!
anyway, I'm glad partner and I made it through together (:
27km, really very very satisfied. My vocab is too limited to describe.

SCM 2010 somehow marks the end of my 3 years contract in kayaking. I'm not sure what to anticipate for in future but at least I have the best memories of these 3 years with me forever.

Partner, I'm overjoyed that we've completed this race together. Our first marathon together and we unexpectedly got something back. My partnership with you has really taught me so much. I can't even mention it all in just a post. Thanks partner for all the races that we've participated together since last year's NWKC. It is really awesome rowing with you. Really (':

Lastly, B!! Finisher of 36km! Awesome right. Hahahah! So proud of you for having to do 2 more extra rounds + portage. This is COOLNESS! (o:
