POL-ITE 2009

POL-ITE 2009 finally came to an end yesterday afternoon.
It was a race i'll never forget.
From weeks of training till the very day.
There were so many complications in between; struggles in communication, training attitude.
But we made it yesterday.
How much we all wanted to win for ourselves and the team.
I really thank God for the very day.
The weather was fantabulous although slight drizzles could be frightening.
There is just so much that I have to say..
just a simple blog entry is not going to be enough.
I'm just very very very very very very (x) infinite times grateful.

I'm so proud of all of us :D
The efforts each of us put in to contribute to the team and achieving what we all wanted since last year. It finally came true. And I'm really very very very thankful for this cup (*:

GOOD JOB GIRLS! :*D

Hereby, I want to thank Partner Joyce for being there all the way for me. Ever since our very first partnership for NWCC up till the very day of POL-ITE, she has never once stopped pushing me. How she pushed me during every gym/water training and making the effort to meet up for extra trainings. She will never blame me, and instead blame herself for the mistake. Encouraging me to push harder and reminding me to sit up for the last burst. I can never be more thankful for a partner like her who made me want to strive so hard on our K2 and pushing me further to give a try on my K1. Not forgetting the card from her the day before our race :D

I also want to thank my K4 crew for being really nice. Pushing me all the way when I felt like I'm dying along the 500m.

Thanks to all juniors for being really very helpful that day, carrying boats day in day out (: It is very much appreciated.

Of course, without my team, this race is not even possible. The unity that I saw on the POL-ITE day was incredible and I hope this will continue in the TEAM.

Definitely cannot miss out on COACH! for giving me so much faith in my K1 race and constantly ask me not to be nervous (:

Many thanks to all the seniors who came down to support and giving all the last minute encouragement which really helped!

There is one person whom I have to thank for the support all the way from the start till the end.
He is none other than Benjamin Chew (:
He has been there to motivate me all the way when I'm really down.
He may not know what happened during trainings but he will always be there to lend a shoulder for me to cry on and make me laugh at the end of it.
His encouragement is overwhelming.
Many times it's his commitment and love for this sport and his team which made me want to push harder for what I want as well.
Thank you B! (:

last but not least,
THANK GOD for all that He has given to me.
facing what I always thought i cannot handle.
He has shown me that my actions will follow my beliefs,
and nothing is impossible with Him.
Give thanks always, no matter what is the outcome.
Because He has His plans for all of us.

till next time>>
